YBP: Years Before Present, the unit of time used for the purposes of storytelling in the Ancient Language of the Earth series, given the disparate modes of time-telling employed by the diverse and numerous cultures across the Aligaea planet
Aligaea: the Earth-like planet within which the Ancient Language of the Earth takes place
Imperium: established 495 YBP, the Imperium was created with the union of the Desnordian, Flüschen, and Yiúsian kingdoms of the Lacuserra seterra
Republic: an alliance between the Gaǔdí Empire and Lyziver Kingdom, established 250 YBP
Seterra: geographical regions within the main continent on Aligaea; defined by geopolitical borders
Seaterra: large masses of land disconnected from the main continent on Aligaea
